Your nurses keep the record. You cover the cost.

unwindRN is a private career platform for nurses, free to every nurse. Hospitals cover their access, because keeping a nurse costs far less than replacing one.

For a hospital with 500 staff RNs, national turnover means about 88 departures a year and roughly $5.3 million in replacement costs.

Built for nurses to trust

Nurses hold back in tools their employer can see. unwindRN keeps the record with the nurse, even when the hospital pays, so what nurses choose to share is candid.

What you get, and what you never get

These rules will be written into every hospital agreement. We’ll publish them as a data charter and ask nursing unions and associations to review it.

What your organization gets

  • Access for your nursesThe full product for every nurse you cover, at no cost to them.
  • Enrollment totalsHow many of your covered seats are in use, as a total. Never names.
  • Working conditions, from the floorFrom nurses who choose to share: hours, workload, night shifts, short staffing and codes, combined across large groups over time.

What it never gets

  • No individual recordsNo one’s logbook, no shift-by-shift timelines, no free text, and never a reflection.
  • No small groupsResults appear only for groups large enough, over periods long enough, that no one can be singled out.
  • No list of who sharesYou never see which nurses opted in, and access never depends on sharing.
  • No scores on peopleNo flight-risk scores, no sentiment about named managers, and nothing that could be used against a nurse.

How a pilot works

unwindRN is in private beta with nurses now. We plan to start pilots where nurses already use it, so you can judge it by your own nurses.

  1. Pick where to start

Usually a service line with high turnover or a large class of new hires.

  2. Nurses join

Each nurse gets an invite code and signs up on her own iPhone. No IT integration, no scheduling-system access.

  3. You cover access

Your organization pays for its nurses' access. Nurses never see a bill.

  4. Review together

Enrollment, shared working conditions, and your own turnover numbers against your baseline.
